Lamination
Lamination is the most popular finishing option available for self wobblers. Lamination is a process whereby plastic or a similar material is bonded securely to the outer layer of the shelf wobbler. This process takes place under heat or pressure (or both) to ensure the lamination stays secure. Not only will this help the aesthetic of your finished product, it will also add durability to your shelf wobbler- especially useful if it is displayed in a prominent place and is likely to be handled. Choose from three types of lamination:
Gloss – this will create a glossy look to your shelf wobbler. One of the cheapest forms of lamination, this aesthetically-pleasing look is very popular, as it helps colours ‘pop’: perfect for supermarket advertising.
Matt – generally of a similar price point, matt lamination will provide a muted, elegant look – ideal for top of the range products.
Soft-touch – a more expensive form of lamination, this is one of our decadent shelf wobbler finishing options. This will provide a velvety look and feel and is perfect for promoting exclusive or limited edition products.
Foiling and Spot UV
These are both shelf wobbler finishing options that can be used to highlight certain design elements – like your company name, product name or logo. Foiling is a technique whereby coloured foil is securely bonded to your design elements, offering something eye-catching and luxurious.
Spot UV is a similar technique, but instead of foil, we use a highly reflective, metallic material that offers a silver sheen. This is very popular to promote innovative products, and works very well for snowflakes on Christmas promotions.
Holographic foiling
One of our more unusual shelf wobbler finishing options, holographic foiling is sure to make your printed product stand out. A holographic piece of foil, which reflects the light and causes a prism effect, will be securely bonded to your finished printed product. This will create something truly unique and eye-catching : perfect to really highlight your logo or company branding.
